Work Orders: Where Operations and Accounting Interact

This one-and-a-half-day course is designed for all employees of electric cooperatives who handle work orders. It emphasizes
the importance of operations and accounting in the work order process. Participants will leave with tangible plans to improve
or maintain an effective work order process.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Introduce the importance, composition and accountability of the utility’s electric delivery system
• Discuss accounting for capital vs. operating expense
• Learn the difference between accounting and financing purposes in the work order system
