Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) named Corey M. Willis to its leadership team. Willis will serve as the association’s vice president of information services.
Willis will lead the association’s internal information technology services, which will include implementing a learning management system designed to deliver and track member cooperative employee training. As a member of the association’s leadership team, he will also work with each department to develop strategic solutions to support the 38 member cooperatives.
“Corey’s experience establishing an IT function for an organization and leading cross-functional projects is going to be valuable to us as we tackle new initiatives,” said Tom VanParis, CEO of IEC. “He brings the skills and industry knowledge necessary to help our team and member cooperatives implement contemporary business solutions. We are excited to have him on the IEC team.”
A 18-year electric utility industry veteran, Willis was previously manager of business operations for Tipmont REMC. Before joining the electric distribution cooperative, he was a member of the Wabash Valley Power (WVP) IT team. WVP is the power generation partner for most electric cooperatives in the northern half of Indiana.
Willis is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in communications, with a minor in computer technology and systems analysis and design. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in IT project management from Purdue University.
