Hadley to join Indiana Electric Cooperatives

Named Director of Policy and Government Relations

Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) named Ryan Hadley to its government relations team. Hadley will serve as the association’s director of policy and government relations beginning Oct. 28.

“Ryan has a strong track record as a thought leader in energy policy discussions,” said John Cassady, CEO at IEC. “His respected voice will be a tremendous asset to our member cooperatives as they meet the challenges facing our industry.”

Hadley will be responsible for representing IEC, its member cooperatives and the generation and transmission cooperatives with state and federal government. He will lobby and assist with the development and implementation of legislative and regulatory strategies. He will also develop and expand key relationships, including with state agencies, state government and other stakeholders to advocate on behalf of IEC’s member cooperatives and member-consumers.

“Ryan is a proven leader with a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful insights and credible information,” said Ryan Heater, vice president of government relations at IEC. “His integrity and character will strengthen IEC and further its efforts to serve its members and the state of Indiana.”

Hadley was previously executive director of the Indiana Office of Energy Development. He also served in roles for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.

Hadley is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in political science. He also earned a certificate in energy policy planning from the University of Idaho.
