Celebrating a New Chapter: IEC’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House

On Friday, June 28, Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) marked a significant milestone with the grand opening of our new office at 11805 Pennsylvania Street, Carmel. The day was filled with excitement as IEC hosted its first board meeting in the new building, followed by an open house event.

The open house celebration kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring remarks from IEC Board President Steve McMichael, IEC CEO John Cassady, IEC Facilities Committee Chair Ron Arnholt, and Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam. Their speeches highlighted the importance of this new facility in driving IEC’s mission forward.

Guests, including board members, co-op CEOs, and employees, were warmly welcomed as they toured the new space. Spanning approximately 25,000 square feet, the building includes seven meeting rooms, the largest of which, the Leadership Center, accommodates up to 96 individuals. It also includes 24 individual offices, two joint office spaces, two work rooms, and an outdoor gathering space.

Strategically located with easy access from Indiana-31 and I-465, visitors will appreciate the proximity to quality hotel options and a variety of dining choices, ranging from fast casual to fine dining.

We look forward to many successful years ahead in our new home.
