Lauren Carman named communication coordinator

Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) named Lauren Carman to its communication team. She will serve as the association’s communication coordinator. 

Carman will be responsible for planning, creating and executing communication projects for IEC and its member cooperatives. 

“We are excited to have Lauren as a member of our communication team. Her depth of experience – writing and editing, social media, media relations, strategic communication and photography – make her an excellent resource for our member cooperatives,” said Mandy Barth, vice president of communication.

Carman was previously a communications coordinator for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. Before that, she was a senior press secretary for the Indiana State Senate where she managed all media and public communication for seven state senators.

Carman graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations.
