Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) named Alexandra Jones to its government relations team. She will serve as the association’s political action and grassroots coordinator.
Jones, who was previously the association’s government relations intern, is responsible for leading IEC’s political action committees and the grassroots program, which encourages interaction with state and federal legislators on issues of importance to the state’s electric cooperatives.
“We are excited to have Allie as a permanent member of our team,” said John Gasstrom, CEO of Indiana Electric Cooperative. “Her rural Indiana roots, energy and passion for legislative advocacy will be an asset to our member cooperatives as we continue to engage consumers on issues of importance to the electric cooperatives.”
Before joining IEC in 2019, she also interned at Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse LLP as a legal administrative assistant and also worked as a paralegal intern at Dentons Bingham Greenebaum.
Jones is a native of Sheridan, Ind., and graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Arts in human communication/organizational leadership and English literature. She will attend Robert H. McKinney School of Law this fall.
