Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) named Deb Hunter and Ann Mears to its cooperative relations staff.
As talent and career awareness partners, Hunter and Mears will help member electric cooperatives develop and implement programs to attract and retain talent, and will support the association’s youth programs.
“Deb and Ann’s experience and expertise provide them with perspectives that will be valuable as they work with and on behalf our 38 member cooperatives,” said Tom VanParis, CEO of IEC. “Their collective skills and knowledge will be an asset to our members as they build relationships with universities and trade schools in their efforts to acquire and retain talented employees to serve their membership. We are excited to have them on the IEC team.”
Hunter was previously employed at FirstPerson as a human resources consultant. She has also worked for Auction Broadcasting Company, Dealer Services Corporation (NextGear Capital) and FlashPoint. Hunter is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and is certified in brain-based coaching by the Neuroleadership Institute. She also holds her SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications, and is certified to administer the Predictive Index.
Mears was previously employed by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as regional outreach director for Indiana INTERNNet. She also worked for Purdue Federal Credit Union. Mears is a graduate of Purdue University.
